Oscars is just like a fashion show, but with A list celebs instead of ano models

Yup, it’s true. Besides the top prizes, it’s really just a huge fashion show. That’s what people want to see and expect to see. And what the people want, the people get. Dozens of channels and websites start covering all the buzz from days and sometimes even weeks before, predicting what the stars will wear. Then on the day of the event, there’s the red carpet show, the actual show, and then the after party. Non stop fashion.

Here are the ones that stood out for me. All images retrieved from CBS.com, with one exception which is noted below.

Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen. I like this look. Not my fave, but still gorgeous.

Stacy Keibler in Marchesa. The dress is fresh off the runway. It’s quite the stunner.

Viola Davis in Vera Wang. This color complements her skin tone well. Lovely!

Emma Stone in Giambattista Valli. Love this dress from the dramatic oversized bow to the flow and cut. Splendid color too.

When it comes to the men, there isn’t much options. It will all look the same to the untrained eye, but when it comes to the fit, cut, jacket type, and even the length of the pants, it makes a world of a difference when the celeb is suited well or sloppily.

George and Stacy. I like that bowties are becoming more and more fashionable now. It looks nice on George. They’re cute together.

Bradley Cooper rocking the shawl collar. His look would’ve been perfecto had it not been for that dirty ‘stache. Shave it. And I’m not asking nicely.

And of course the power couple, Brangelina. No A list awrds show is ever complete unless the Hollywood royalty shows up.

PS I just have to talk about this. The infamous leg - she struck this pose nonstop while walking on the red carpet and while presenting an award. It just stood out so much, it started its own Twitter account @AngiesRightLeg, which gained over 6k followers in an hour. Now, post event it’s sitting at over 8300 followers. Insane!!

My absolute fave look of the evening? Gwynie in Tom Ford

This is so major! Really digging this look.

That’s it folks, see y’all at the next awards show!

“A girl’s just as hot as the shoes she chooses”

Fashion by Lady Gaga

While I am far from a girl (well.. really not that far) I still love footwear. You name it, I want it. Boots, dress shoes, sandals, flip flops. Everything. I have an indescribable love and hate relationship for it and I always keep my eyes peeled for the freshest styles hitting the streets. Or in my case, PRIVE (or any online store).

img taken from http://us.jimmychoo.com/en/us/sale/york/invt/112yorkbrrss/ I’ve wanted these boots for the longest time. I see the price has dropped. I’m quite happy to see that. Now drop it another $500 and I’ll buy a pair. Please and thanks.

I’ve actually recently purchased 2 pairs of boots within the last month. I was only supposed to purchase a pair, but my mom has been harassing me to get rain boots since I live in a part of the world where it rains 10 months out of 12.

Jimmy Boot from Native Shoes. It’s SOOOOO light weight, when it came in the mail I honestly thought someone mailed me an empty box. I’ve yet to try it since it hasn’t rained since I got it, but I’m quite stoked to try it.

Beaver Brown!

If you ever cross me, I will brand your face with these. Free PR for them. They should think of paying me.

Kidding! So violent, sheesh. Love you, mean it.

Anyway, circling back to the “I was only going to buy 1 pair” thought, these were the boots I bought from PRIVE. It took so long for it to get here. I was so happy when it arrived; look at these bad boys! I wore them to a dinner party last night and again earlier today when I met up with a friend to catch up.

Hot s*** right?

That website is going to drive me into bankruptcy. And if you’re wondering why the Jimmy’s were 7 and these are 8, I’m a size 7.5. I can wear both 7 and 8.

Instagram treatment. Faboosh hey?

Every single Christmas, my brother asks me what I want. In Christmas of ‘08, he got me chocolate brown dressy ankle boots from Aldo. Two Christmases ago, he got me these bad boys

The zippers are killer!

Well he didn’t really get it for me. He was SUPPOSED to, but he didn’t. So I got it for myself. Selfish prick

Here it is again, this time with some A|X jacket pairing. Gaga would be so proud.

I don’t know when my next shoe lust will strike; I’m scared when it does because I will stop at nothing until I have said boots/shoes/footwear in my hands.

Before I leave, I want to redirect you to http://shoelust.us/

This one is for the ladies. You’ll find a sprinkling of men’s shoes, but it shouldn’t matter if you love looking at shoes.

Until next time, stay faboosh my friends.
